RFS to Showcase End-to-End Wireless Infrastructure Solutions at CTIA Super Mobility 2015


Learn How RFS’ Products are used in Major Indoor and Outdoor Deployments around the World

Meriden, CT (United States), September 1, 2015 – Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, is headed to CTIA 2015, where representatives will be available in meeting room PMR303 to demonstrate and discuss the company’s comprehensive portfolio of total-package solutions for outdoor and indoor wireless infrastructure.  RFS’ products include cable, antenna and tower systems, as well as active and passive RF conditioning modules.  The company has been an integral part of many major wireless network deployments, including supporting communications services at the 2014 World Cup, the state of New Hampshire’s public safety network, and in New York City and Boston subway systems.

At CTIA 2015, RFS will feature a complete setup including a showcase of two HYBRIFLEX™ solutions, with and without distribution boxes.  HYBRIFLEX combines optical fiber and DC power in a single corrugated cable, which makes it faster, easier and more cost-effective to install than bringing both traditional optical fiber and DC power to the antenna.  RFS’ new 2x4 and 6x12 6AWG Low-inductance HYBRIFLEX™ Remote Radio Head (RRH) cable for sites over 400 ft. solves the problem of RRH power-cycling during peak traffic hours due to voltage swings, which may occur in specific instances.  RFS is developing several HYBRIFLEX™ cables to support small cell deployments as well.RFS will also highlight the following products:

  • Tower Mounted Amplifiers with Variable Gain ─ RFS’ new TMAs with Variable Gain feature DC sense and DC/AISG bypass and are ready for antennas with integrated AISG Bias-Ts.  They will allow seamless transitions to new, expanded frequencies, including the unpaired AWS-3 (1695-1710) and AWS-4 (2180-2200) spectrums.  RFS’ new Variable Gain TMAs feature best-in-class PIM of 158dBc for improved network performance.  Exceptionally small and lightweight, they reduce tower loading to decrease monthly leasing costs, ease zoning and installation, and lower overall installation costs.
  • Transparent Antennas – Revolutionary new, lightweight, low-profile antennas blend into any environment, easing site approvals and lease renewals.  RFS transparent antennas can be used for indoor and outdoor applications in 3G or LTE bands.  The first model transmits on a 1.7 GHz to 2.7 GHz range to achieve an optimum performance.  RFS will introduce additional versions in the near future.
