RFS Joins Transit Communications 2013 Advisory Board

Meriden, CT (United States), May 14, 2013 – Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, today announced that Suzanne Kasai, business development manager for enterprise markets, has joined the invitation-only advisory board for the third annual Transit Communications 2013. The board is made up of the industry’s most respected leaders and innovators for the purpose of refining the event’s agenda and speakers, finalizing the format and advising on attendee profiles, while ensuring the quality and integrity of the event.

Transit and commuter rails across the US must innovate and exploit the potential of ever-evolving communication technology to remain competitive and enhance operations.  It is not only crucial to ensure technology is being deployed to enhance operations and service but also that the passenger is the key focus so that revenue and ridership are maximized. The 2013 Transit Communications event will feature a robust program that will explore technological evolutions to enhance networks and service, as well as dedicated sessions on fare collection and customer engagement to increase ridership and revenue. Key topics for discussion will include funding for technology deployments, effective systems integration, radio upgrades and operational applications, bandwidth management and onboard services, and much more.

“The Transit Communications conference is a well-respected event bringing together experts from across the industry to explore the fast pace of technology evolution across North America – with over 200 project managers and technical specialists representing transit agencies, local government, associations, technology suppliers and consultancies participating,” said Kasai. “RFS is pleased to be a part of the entity that shapes the direction and focus of the program and we look forward to being involved at the forefront of discussions that impact our customers and colleagues.”

“RFS has distinguished itself as a leader and visionary in indoor and outdoor wireless infrastructure and their insight, along with that of our other esteemed advisory board members, is invaluable to ensuring our agenda will capture all of the critical topics that the transit communications industry should be focused on,” said Dan Loosemore, head of production, Global Transport Forum.

Transit Communications 2013 will take place October 22-24, 2013 at the Georgetown University Hotel in Washington DC.
