RFS Introduces Bend-Insensitive Fiber Jumpers for Last Mile Fiber Connections

100% Pre-Test Assemblies Complement RFS’ HYBRIFLEX Portfolio

Meriden, CT (United States), June 3, 2014 – Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, today announced the release of robust, bend-insensitive, single-mode fiber assemblies. RFS’ new fiber jumpers are an ideal solution for last-mile fiber connections, such as between patch panels, distribution boxes, and BBUs.

A well-suited complement to RFS’ HYBRIFLEX™ hybrid cabling solution portfolio, 100% of these fiber assemblies are pre-tested to guarantee quality and certified by RFS for insertion loss, return loss and reflectance. As a result, RFS fiber assemblies ensure an easy, end-to end installation for customers’ HYBRIFLEX to the antenna (HTTA) deployment and long-term reliability.

“Our customers were asking us to provide them with the same field-proven, quality fiber products used in HYBRIFLEX, but as a standalone product for last mile applications,” said Rodrigo Oliveira, ‎customer solutions manager, RFS. “Our new fiber assemblies enable us to best accommodate our customers’ requests and support their last mile needs.”

Packaging includes a Pulling Sock, which offers protection to the LC connectors and can be used to hoist the fiber through cable trays, speeding up installation time.
