RFS eases cable pricing administration for customers

Global wireless solutions group, Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), has reduced customers’ administrative burden by rationalizing its transmission line pricing structure. To date, customers were required to identify Raw Material Surcharges (RMSC) as a separate line item, which was subject to quarterly revisions. Starting 2007, present prices plus RMSC will be restated as net prices inclusive of RMSC. RFS’s decision to adopt this streamlined pricing policy is being welcomed by purchasers of transmission lines around the globe.

This move by RFS follows on from a year of unprecedented turbulence in the raw material market, which had forced quarterly revisions of RMSC to cable pricing at very short notice. Such a measure had been necessary to ensure continued quality of supply and to partially offset the cost impact on transmission line products. According to RFS, although raw material pricing remains at a high level, it stabilized considerably towards the end of 2006.
